Periodic Inspection
How should deficiencies found during periodic inspection be handled?
The label color sets the urgency, but the report explains the work. A sound response begins by reading every finding and ends with independent verification where required.

Move from report finding to verified correction
Two elevators with the same label color may need completely different work. Identify the component, criterion and reason for every finding before deciding on adjustment, repair, replacement or modernization.
Separate and prioritize the findings
Review the report line by line, observe any use restriction and group findings by urgency, dependency and the access or materials needed to complete them safely.
Define and document the technical work
An authorized team verifies the condition on site, determines the correct intervention and records changed parts, adjustments and test results. Not every finding requires a full modernization.
Close the process with verification
Corrective work alone may not close a red or yellow result under Turkish rules. The required follow-up inspection by the authorized A-type inspection body independently confirms whether the findings were resolved.
Frequently asked questions
Can a red-label elevator remain in use?
No. Under the Turkish framework, a red label identifies an unsafe elevator and the building responsible party must not permit its use. Corrective work and follow-up control are required.
Does every finding require modernization?
No. Some findings can be resolved by adjustment, repair or component replacement; others may justify broader modernization after technical assessment.
Is the process finished when repairs are complete?
Not always. Where follow-up inspection is required, the authorized inspection body must verify the correction independently.
