Frequently Asked Questions

What is a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) and what does it do?

A UPS is an electronic device that protects electrically powered equipment against mains voltage rises, sags, fluctuations and outages, and supplies the energy the equipment needs from its internal batteries when the mains fails.

What is the difference between online, line-interactive UPS and a voltage regulator?

An online UPS protects the load continuously and creates no break when the mains fails. A line-interactive UPS works across a wide input voltage range and engages its inverter instantly on a power cut. A voltage regulator stabilises the voltage but does not protect during power outages.

What should I consider when choosing a UPS?

The power of the load to be protected (VA/W), the required backup time, the input and output phase configuration, the installation environment and communication needs are assessed together. If you share your load details, we can help you choose the right model.

What information is needed for a quote?

The total power of the equipment to be protected, the backup time wanted during a power cut, the type of mains supply (single or three phase) and the installation site are enough to get started. You can reach us through the contact page with this information.
