Online UPS

Online uninterruptible power supplies that isolate your load from mains disturbances and deliver a continuous sine wave output.

An online UPS protects connected equipment against voltage rises, sags, fluctuations and harmonic distortion on the mains, and when the mains fails it keeps supplying energy from its internal batteries without any break.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does an online UPS work?

In an online UPS the load is supplied through the UPS output continuously, whether or not the mains is present. When the mains fails the batteries take over; there is no break in the load during the transfer and the output stays a sine wave.

Which applications is an online UPS suitable for?

It is preferred for loads that cannot tolerate any interruption: healthcare systems such as laboratory analysers, operating theatres and ultrasound devices, security and automation systems, and computer network and communication infrastructure.

How do I choose between single-phase and three-phase online UPS?

Single-phase series suit small and medium loads, while three-phase series suit industrial and high-power applications. Your mains input type and total load decide the choice; with this information we can recommend a model.

What should I consider when choosing a UPS?

The power of the load to be protected (VA/W), the required backup time, the input and output phase configuration, the installation environment and communication needs are assessed together. If you share your load details, we can help you choose the right model.
